Global Distributor Meet 2014

The Global Distributor Meet was hosted at Pattaya,Thailand on 25th & 26th September 2014. The event was attended by over 40 delegates representing major distributors of Epotec products. These attendees were from the key sales & marketing regions of ABCTL- Epoxy division. The two day event was conducted at the Amari Ocean Towers, Pattaya and was focused on enhancing the mutual knowledge of the global epoxy industry, key market trends, new product developments, along with  improved sales channel partnership in key geographies. The event commenced with Mr. Pradip Kumar Dubey, Sr. President, ABCTL-Epoxy Division presenting an overview of macro-economic growth drivers for the epoxy industry and the business expansion strategy of ABCTL-Epoxy division over the years. This was followed by Mr. B. Venkataraman, Sr. VP, Global Sales & Marketing Head, presenting the company’s future growth strategy with improved sales channel partner participation. Dr. Prashant Samant, Global Technology Head- Epoxy Division gave a presentation on the technical capabilities of ABCTL-Epoxy Division at Aditya Birla Science and Technology Centre (ABSTC), Mumbai, India & at Application Development Centre (ADC), Rayong, Thailand. Since the last distributor meet in 2012, ABCTL-Epoxy Division has expanded manufacturing operations by acquisition of CTP, Germany and a green-field expansion project in Vilayat, India. The distributor representatives were introduced to the technical capabilities and product portfolio of CTP, Germany by Dr. Sigurd Beinborn, Technical Sales Director, CTP, Germany, while, Mr. Rakesh Choksi, Plant Head, Grasim Chemicals- Epoxy Division, India presented the project details and production capabilities of the green-field plant facility at Vilayat, India. Dr. Daniel Suckley, Head, Coatings & Civil Engineering Applications and Mr. Amit Dixit, Head, Composites & Electrical Applications presented their respective success stories of new product launches and application developments. The attendees were also provided with new epotec product brochures. The distributor representatives presented the key trends in their markets along with business success stories and challenges faced in business growth. This was followed by a brainstorming session to improve sales channel partnership. The event was signed off with Mr. Dubey thanking the distributors for their continued support and faith in the epotec brand products.
